Positioning itself as the first choice for household items, Malaysian home improvement retailer MR.DIY has launched the exciting #KecilBesarMRDIYada campaign. Bringing everyday household items to life – and upsized – the campaign also features a nationwide contest. 

The #KecilBesarMRDIYada campaign, which means ‘MR.DIY has everything big and small’, presents larger-than-life installations in hotspots throughout Malaysia. These include a giant paint roller, a Minnie Mouse drinking tumbler, an adorable green dinosaur plushie, and a scaled-up football.

From the 5th of September to the 15th of October, the BESAR installations will be homed in high-traffic areas to attract the public. Moreover, the list of locations includes popular sites like the Fahrenheit88 Mall, MyTown Shopping Mall, Mid Valley Megamall, and more.

#KecilBesarMRDIYada ‘Untukmu’ Short Films

Besides giant installations, the brand released three accompanying promotional videos for the campaign. 

Featuring a father looking for batteries for his child’s toy, a husband ensuring his wife stays hydrated, and a man’s confession of love, the short films highlight its array of products.

To get the momentum going for the campaign, the brand also launched a snap-and-win contest with an appealing lineup of prizes. Participants can stand a chance to win a luxury yacht trip, KL city helicopter ride, fine dining omakase experience, or MR.DIY cash vouchers.

First, fans will need to take a photo or video with any of the BESAR installations and upload it on their social media. Besides that, they are required to tag MR.DIY, include the hashtag #KecilBesarMRDIYada, and ensure their profile is public.

Opening its first store in 2005, MR.DIY is Malaysia’s largest home improvement chain, with over 1,000 stores country-wide. The brand offers various lifestyle and household products, including car accessories, jewellery, stationery, hardware, and more.
