The Skytrax World Airline Awards 2023, also known as the ‘Oscars of aviation’, recently concluded its annual awards ceremony in Paris, France.
Clinching the title for the fifth time in the awards history, Singapore Airlines was named the best airline in the world. Coming in second place was Qatar Airways – the previous year’s winner – followed by ANA All Nippon Airways.
Goh Choon Phong, the Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Airlines, attributed the brand’s triumphant win to its people. “This award is a testament to the indomitable spirit of our people, who worked tirelessly and made many sacrifices to ensure that SIA was ready for the recovery in air travel. That has allowed us to emerge stronger and fitter from the pandemic as a leading international airline.”
