The promotional series aim to ramp up anticipation and provide updates as Ms Koningsdam nears delivery in April 2016

Holland America Line has premiered its third installation in a series of ‘Countdown to Koningsdam’ videos which details The World Stage main theatre of the ship. The commercials were created to ramp up anticipation and provide updates as Ms Koningsdam nears delivery in April 2016.

Hosted by inaugural Cruise Director, Johnathan Rogers, the said clip titled Countdown to Koningsdam: Episode 3 features the brand’s Director of Entertainment, Bill Prince, who takes viewers on a visual journey across the ship’s core theatre which surrounds its audience with 270-degree LED projection.

At two storeys high while 250-feet long, the high-definition screens render the attraction a swanky platform at sea poised for the delivery of winning performances and productions. Adding appeal, the offering is enhanced using high-end lighting, amplification, and sound capabilities.

Designed to inspire one’s imagination and titillate the senses, the room provides an interactive experience. An example of the premise is its ability to evolve from an Italian palazzo backdrop for a particular concert performance to a make-believe scene for other entertainment specials.

Each video showcases an officer of the ship or a Holland America Line executive who steps up to share with travellers, ongoing developments aboard the line’s newest vessel. The ocean liner is currently under construction at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard in Italy.

“Entertainment is a huge part of the cruise experience. With Koningsdam, we’re elevating that to a whole new level and trying things that have never been seen on our ships before. We can’t wait to share all the innovative new shows being producing for the venue,” said Orlando Ashford, President of Holland America Line.

The first features Hotel Director, Stan Kuppens, who addresses the progress of ship’s atrium and his move to the yard. The second is represented by Vice President Deployment and Tour Marketing, Linda Springmann, who discusses the craft’s maiden Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Caribbean sailing seasons.
