The Golden era of the Golden Globe awards is soon winding down due to the faced controversies over the years!

The Golden Globes has always been the talk of the town due to its mind-blowing hosts, enchanting environment, and epic performances. These prestigious awards accolades Hollywood and international films and television.

Established in the 1940s, the awards continue to gather immense support across the world for decades. It’s well said, ‘Every rise has a fall.’ And it’s inevitable to say that the Golden Globes fall has begun.

This time, the organization has faced severe criticism that leads to a permanent shutdown. Following this fuss, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), creators of Golden Globes, passed the agreement of its closure. This deal is set to close at $44 million.

Authorities have vandalized HFPA due to racism, corruption, and other severe allegations. That’s why last year the entire industry observes ‘the Golden Globes and HFPA boycott.’ Earlier this year, there was no broadcast of the awards. The Golden Globes held a private ceremony. In the heat of the moment, even many artists refuse to own their awards.

Now officially Dick Clark Productions (DCP) and asset management company Eldridge own the Golden Globes authoritative rights.

However, the owners have stated no significant date for the dissolution. Nor the status of HFPA employees has been revealed.

Due to a lack of diversity among members and ethical considerations, the authorities are winding down the entire setup. However, DCP and Eldridge come up with positive sentiments.

DCP Chief Executive Jay Penske said, “As stewards of the Golden Globe Awards, our mission is to continue creating the most dynamic awards ceremony on television viewed across the world.”
