The Chinese tea beverage chain, ChaBaiDao, has launched twenty of its pet-friendly stores throughout China. The initiative combines two modern-day interests of its Gen Z consumers: pets and lifestyle beverages.

Consumers can find and visit the pet-friendly ChaBaiDao outlets in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and most New Tier-1 cities. These cities include Changsha, Chongqing, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, and Xi’an. Tier-3 cities like Xinyang and Zhumadian in Henan won’t miss out either.

Known locally as ChaPanda as well, not all ChaBaiDao stores are pet-friendly. To identify one, an exclusive ‘pet-friendly’ sticker will be featured on its storefront. Refreshments are available for pets and owners, with water bowls provided for pets.

According to a source, ChaBaiDao staff are readily available to guide customers and their furry companions inside. The outlets also have notices on display to remind owners to leash their pets while visiting.

Prior to its launch, ChaBaiDao conducted extensive consumer surveys to identify its positioning and demand. The brand also strategically chose locations in densely-populated areas, such as residential neighbourhoods, supermarkets, and common squares.

With more pet-friendly themed activities lined up, ChaBaiDao will continue to explore animal-related public welfare. It has set its sights on adopting a giant panda next.

Chengdu-based CaBaiDao was founded in 2008 by Wang Xiao Kun. It currently has over 3,000 outlets in China.
