Louis Vuitton, the French luxury fashion brand, is venturing into the beauty industry and has appointed renowned British make-up artist Pat McGrath as its inaugural creative director for cosmetics.
In a statement, Louis Vuitton described ‘La Beauté Louis Vuitton’ as an “exciting venture” for the brand, aiming to broaden its vision, which is “rooted in the spirit of travel and creative excellence.”
Launching this autumn, La Beauté Louis Vuitton will represent the brand’s debut in the make-up industry, featuring products such as eye shadows and lipsticks. The collection is designed to complement the fashion house’s flourishing fragrance line.
Pietro Beccari, chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, stated that “La Beauté Louis Vuitton” represents a natural progression for the business, emphasising its commitment to exceptional quality, innovative formulas, and meticulous craftsmanship.
“By launching this new line, we’re deepening our connection with our clients, offering them products that bring both purpose and pleasure to their everyday routines while staying true to our brand’s creative roots.”

La Beauté Louis Vuitton Debuts in Autumn 2025
Although specific product details remain under wraps, Louis Vuitton emphasised that the beauty launch represents “the broadening scope of luxury.” It also aligns with the brand’s history of integrating beauty into its travel legacy, such as crafting innovative vanity cases for delicate toiletries, perfumes, and cosmetics. In the 1920s, the house created opulent powder compacts, brushes, and mirrors.
Pat McGrath, renowned makeup artist and founder of Pat McGrath Labs, brings her extensive backstage expertise from 20 years with Louis Vuitton to her new role: overseeing the creation of La Beauté Louis Vuitton, a testament to artistry and groundbreaking design.

“We envision beauty as a complete world, not just a collection of items, and our work will elevate luxury to an unprecedented level.”
“The fusion of Pat McGrath’s visionary expertise and Louis Vuitton’s iconic heritage creates a compelling narrative. This collaboration isn’t just about launching a beauty line and crafting an artistic expression. The promises of extraordinary craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation are deeply enticing. We look forward to seeing how McGrath translates her experience from the runway to a full-fledged beauty collection and how La Beauté Louis Vuitton will embody the pinnacle of luxury artistry when it arrives in 2025.”
