Louis Vuitton has released its SS25 campaign, featuring house ambassadors Saoirse Ronan (making her debut for the brand) and Lisa. The campaign presents contemporary portraits of the two within the evocative artistic framework of French conceptual artist Laurent Grasso.

The Spring/Summer 2025 campaign, photographed by renowned photographer Steven Meisel, will be unveiled in print media commencing January 16th. It showcases the latest creations from Women’s Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière, drawing inspiration from the runway show’s culminating moments, which incorporated three looks seamlessly integrated with the ethereal landscapes of artist Laurent Grasso.

The campaign is the result of a unique collaboration with Grasso’s Studies into the Past series. It features three new works that introduce the enigmatic ‘black rectangle’ element. These surreal landscapes, disrupted by the black rectangles, provide the stage for Ronan and Lisa, who embody a captivating sense of self-assured warmth.

Both ambassadors are depicted wearing impactful looks from the runway presentation, appearing seamlessly immersed within these enigmatic yet naturalistic scenes. The photography employs close-up shots that evoke a Renaissance aesthetic, while full-length portraits capture a subtle sense of movement, resulting in a captivating blend of classical and dynamic imagery.

The brand emphasised that both Ronan and Lisa embody the ‘soft power’ ethos that was central to the creative vision behind the collection.

The combination of these two prominent figures is a powerful marketing strategy, ensuring that the SS25 collection receives significant attention and resonates with a diverse audience.

Lisa, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group Blackpink, has achieved significant milestones in her solo career. Her single “Money” made history as the first K-pop solo track to surpass one billion streams on Spotify, solidifying her position as a global music icon.

Beyond her musical achievements, Lisa boasts an immense social media following, holding the title of the most-followed K-pop artist on Instagram. Expanding her horizons, she is set to make her acting debut in the highly anticipated third season of the HBO series “The White Lotus,” adding another dimension to her already impressive career.

In stark contrast, Saoirse Ronan, a four-time Academy Award nominee, boasts a career steeped in critically acclaimed dramas. Her journey began at the tender age of 13 with a powerful performance as Briony Tallis in “Atonement,” solidifying her status as a rising star.

More recently, she captivated audiences in Steve McQueen’s historical drama Blitz and played both star and producer in The Outrun, an adaptation of Amy Liptrot’s bestselling memoir. Ronan’s filmography is a testament to her talent. Her acclaimed performances in Little Women, Lady Bird, and Brooklyn earned her Oscar nominations, further solidifying her position as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actresses.

The SS25 campaign, a testament to the power of artistic collaboration, seamlessly blends the talents of Nicolas Ghesquière, Laurent Grasso, Steven Meisel, and its esteemed ambassadors, creating a truly unique and unforgettable experience.
