In a new alliance with Asics Canada, Penny Oleksiak will represent the footwear and apparel brand in its performance and lifestyle silhouettes.

Performance and lifestyle brand, Asics Canada, has entered into a four-year partnership with Olympic gold medallist, Penny Oleksiak. During the 2016 Olympics Games in Rio, the Toronto native became the first ever Canadian to win four medals at a single summer games event.

The 17-year-old athlete rose as the country’s youngest Olympic champion after tying for the gold medal in the 100-metre freestyle, and was selected to carry the Canadian flag into the closing ceremony. The footwear and apparel giant will support her as she continues in her quest.

With her eyes set on Tokyo 2020, her training regime will include both time in and out of the pool over the next three years. The above marks the first major endorsement deal for Oleksiak. In conjunction with the new collaboration, the specifics of the campaign are being finalised.

“Penny is an inspiration. Her tenacity, skill, and positive attitude align perfectly with the direction we are heading in Canada. She embodies the athletic spirit we celebrate as a brand and naturally demonstrates sportsmanship,” said Richard Sullivan, President of Asics Canada.
