The global convenience store retailer, 7-Eleven, celebrated its 96th birthday recently with Slurpee Day celebrations and a limited-edition digital collectible. Toasting to the occasion, customers can claim a free Slurpee drink at the brand’s participating stores.
In conjunction with the grand anniversary, 7-Eleven fans got to cool down with their free Slurpee from selected 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores in the United States. Beyond that, customers also have the option to enjoy their frozen drinks virtually.
7-Eleven’s 96th Birthday Perks
The Find Your Slurpee Vibe initiative is part of the brand’s new digital collectible activity, showcasing a digital Slurpee drink dispenser. Users can choose from four flavours – Cherry, Blue Raspberry, Piña Colada, Summertime Citrus – or pick and mix them to fill their cup.
Once they have concocted their digital frozen treat, they can claim a one-of-a-kind Slurpee digital collectible. As a bonus, fans also stand a chance to walk away with unique Slurpee-inspired pieces crafted by jewellery designer King Ice.
7-Eleven’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing & Sustainability Officer, Marissa Jarratt, said, “We’re always looking for new and creative ways to celebrate with our customers on our favourite day of the year, Slurpee Day. This year, we’re marking another first for the brand with our inaugural digital collectible, ‘Find Your Slurpee Vibe’.”
Besides this, members subscribed to 7-Eleven’s rewards systems – 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards – can enjoy US$1 food deals, subscription discounts, and fuel savings. The rewards systems are available on mobile app stores and play stores, as well as official websites.
