This fan-created holiday continues the tradition with exclusive Nutella giveaways.

In honour of World Nutella Day, Nutella® is celebrating its devoted superfans who proudly adopt the world’s favourite hazelnut spread into their identities by featuring the brand in their social media bios.

The World Nutella Day, held on 5th February annually, was originally a fan-created holiday. It was started in 2007 when Sara Rosso, an American blogger, created a day of celebration to inspire and bring together Nutella enthusiasts worldwide. It was intended to express their love and passion for the brand on various social media platforms.

Consequently, World Nutella Day swiftly evolved into a global phenomenon, with fans from all over the world eagerly sharing their love.

To mark its 60th anniversary, the brand has identified approximately 140 superfans throughout the United States. These dedicated fans, already featuring Nutella in their social media bios, will be treated to delightful surprises as a token of appreciation.

Inspired by these superfans, for this year’s celebration, the brand is encouraging other enthusiasts to profess their love for the brand by dedicating their bios to the brand.

From 29th January through 5th February, consumers who add Nutella to their social media bio, share a screenshot of their Instagram story and tag @Nutella in their post will have a chance to win exclusive Nutella prizes.

“Nutella isn’t simply a food brand that our superfans enjoy, it’s a part of who they are and what makes our Nutella-loving community so strong,” expressed Noah Szporn, senior vice president of spreads at Ferrero North America. He added, “This World Nutella Day, we are celebrating those who love Nutella so much that it’s part of their identity, and inviting anyone who loves Nutella to join in on the fun.”
