Hinge is taking an altogether different approach to it’s marketing – they want you to leave the app.
The campaign for the dating app is based around the idea that they don’t mind it when users leave the app, as long as they have found their match. The advert says, “Hinge wants you to meet someone great. Even if it kills us.”
Although the dating app is over 3 million downloads behind Tinder, the app is growing exponentially in the US, UK, Australia and Canada.
Chief marketing officer, Nathan Roth, commented: “We want to share with the whole world that we’re designed to be deleted.
“On Hinge there are no rules, timers or games as we’ve built an app that’s actually made for getting people off their phones and out on great dates.”
