Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy Fold, their folding smart phone.

Originally released to some select reviewers earlier this year, a number of faults were called out instantly. The company decided to pull back the launch and work on the phone’s issues.

The phone has had a number of improvements made including being 5G enabled and is now more durable.

Samsung now say they are ready to release the new product, which will go on sale in the UK on the 18 September, for £1,600.

DJ Koh, president and CEO of the IT & mobile communications at Samsung Electronics, commented: “Consumers have responded positively to larger screens, and the Galaxy Fold’s revolutionary form factor offers a bigger, more immersive screen without sacrificing portability. This is what we call innovation of new mobile experience in action.”
