Built in Leipzig, Germany, the 2019 Porsche Macan compact SUV is scheduled for its North American debut during the summer of next year.

The latest version of the Porsche Macan sport utility vehicle (SUV) will soon make its North American premiere. The 2019 variant features a three-dimensional light panel at the rear and a redesigned interior. The Dynamic Light System Plus is still available as an option.

Separate on prior models, the taillights now connect in similar fashion to other Porsche vehicles. In addition to an enhanced exterior, one can choose from a variety of four colour options to include Mamba Green Metallic, Dolomite Silver Metallic, Miami Blue, and Chalk.

The offering has also gained an improved Traffic Jam Assist function as a component of the optional adaptive cruise control system. So equipped, the upcoming Macan will be able to accelerate, brake, and keep itself within a marked lane at speeds up to 40 miles per hour.

Its Porsche Connect and Car Connect apps enable drivers to communicate with the car via smartphone. Its Offroad Precision app can be used to augment and record experiences. Expected at US dealers by summer 2019, the compact SUV was built in Leipzig, Germany.
