Pornhub launches “Big Package” to stimulate small business recovery, awards free advertising space to small businesses worldwide to provide support during the pandemic
Pornhub, the online destination for adult entertainment, has announced the launch of their “Big Package” for small businesses initiative, a global campaign to award one billion ad impressions worth of free advertising space on its site exclusively to small businesses around the world that are seeking visibility and support during the pandemic.
To participate in Pornhub’s “Big Package” campaign, business owners are invited to visit pornhubpackage.com to share some basic information about their business and how it has been impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We noticed that when it comes to which businesses are more easily bouncing back from the pandemic – size matters – and over 100,000 small businesses have already permanently closed due to coronavirus,” said Corey Price, VP, Pornhub.
“To give a little extra love and support to small businesses during this uncertain time, we’re introducing our “Big Package” for small businesses to give small businesses the opportunity to tap into our audience of 130 million daily visitors and gain the exposure they deserve during the pandemic. Bolstering an eclectic user base made up of various demographics, businesses that advertise with us are not only able to connect with their target audience but enhance their overall brand visibility – especially during this time when the world is more digitally connected than ever.
Only companies with 100 employees or less are eligible, and 100 businesses will ultimately be chosen. An internal panel consisting of executive members from the Pornhub marketing, advertising and sales teams will determine the winners.
Pornhub will then create a series of customised ads for each of the selected businesses to be served by TrafficJunky, the online advertising platform responsible for serving ads on Pornhub and other premium adult websites. Together, Pornhub and TrafficJunky will work to strategically place the ads for each business in accordance with their respective locations.
This announcement follows Pornhub’s recent COVID-19 relief efforts worldwide to support first responders and medical staff fighting on the front lines against the Coronavirus around the world and include donations such as:
15,000 surgical masks to protect first responders from the Local 2507 of New York City, which represents emergency medical technicians (EMTs), paramedics and fire inspectors of the Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY), 15,000 surgical masks to the Uniformed Firefighters Association (UFA) Local 94 of New York City to protect first responders, and 20,000 surgical masks to Mount Sinai South Nassau to bolster the safety of nurses, physicians and support staff caring for Coronavirus patients.
As well as, €50k/£45/5k to various European organisations to purchase additional masks and medical equipment, including Dein Quarantäne Engel / Deutsches Rotes Kreuz in Germany, Croce Verde di Vicenza in Italy, España vs Coronavirus. Mascarillas AQUÍ AHORA and Material Sanitario para Hospitales Públicos ESPAÑA in Spain.
The adult entertainment brand has also donated US$25k/£19.6k to Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP), contributing directly to sex worker relief funds in the SWOP-USA network to meet immediate requests for support from sex workers impacted by COVID-19, and US$10k/£7.8k to the Free Speech Coalition (FSC), a member-based, non-profit trade association of the adult entertainment industry.
The donation was made to the FSC’s Emergency Fund, which will help adult entertainment talent and crew with their living expenses whilst they are unable to work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Pornhub also matched any donations made to the FSC’s Emergency Fund up to an additional US$20k/£15.7k.
