Park Hyatt and an affiliate of the BIM Group have signed a deal to open a nature-inspired luxury resort on the island of Phu Quoc in Vietnam.
Park Hyatt has signed an agreement to develop a 110-key hotel in Phu Quoc as well as 65 residences. Slated to open in 2022, the venue will serve as a resort destination nestled in nature. The location joins its Saigon predecessor, which is the marque’s first in Vietnam.
Situated on the southwestern tip of the island, patrons can expect an exclusive oasis with views of the horizon. Inspired by traditional villages, the build will stretch across 160 acres of land bordered by a vast white sand beach on one side and lush rolling hills on the other.
A 30-minute drive from Phu Quoc International Airport, it offers direct access via the main north-south highway. The island’s main town of Duong Dong is 40 minutes away. On top of convenience of commute, Park Hyatt features accommodations with a backdrop of the sea.
The getaway boasts luxurious interiors infused with local accents across its rooms, suites, and villas. Other facilities include two eateries, a bar, poolside barbeque, lakeside spa, kids’ village, gym, two swimming pools, an organic farm, and 4,300 square feet of event space.
“As we grow our presence in Vietnam, we are pleased to embark on our relationship with BIM Group. This landmark project brings the refined residential and luxurious hospitality of the Park Hyatt brand to Phu Quoc,” said David Udell, Group President, Asia-Pacific of Hyatt.
The country’s largest island, half of Phu Quoc is within the confines of the national park and UNESCO World Heritage designated Kien Giang Biosphere Reserve. It spans a vast area of tropical rain forests, coral reefs, and wetlands, while home to ample exotic flora and fauna.
