Set for global release in September, Nike Vision has debuted two new performance sunglasses variants: the Hyperforce and Hyperforce Elite.

Nike Vision has added to its performance sunglasses portfolio with the debut of the Hyperforce and Hyperforce Elite variants. Designed for baseball and training, the new releases bring the latest in eyewear technology to the brand’s recently launched Men’s Training collection.

Developed with insights from Mike Trout, George Springer, and other top athletes—and in partnership with optics giant, ZEISS—both styles were built for dynamic lateral movement. The tie-up’s aim was to create the high-performance Nike Field Tint to track and intercept objects in shifting light.

Ideal for baseball, field sports, and tennis, said green-based tint mutes harsh light, while allowing athletes to maintain sight of the ball with minimal interruption. The outer lens is treated with a reflective mirrored coating that shields the athlete’s eyes from opponents and provides aggressive styling.

Each of the two entrants delivers an angular product with a ventilated frame to prevent fogging, alongside rubber elements for an enhanced grip to eliminate slippage caused by sweat. Additionally, thin temple tips allow the frames to fit both atop or underneath a hat, providing stay-put comfort.

To maximise coverage and offer a wide field of view, both Nike Vision pairs entail a raised top bar and subtle nose pad to eliminate obstruction. Also, an auto-adaptive nose bridge and temple arms that adjust to the athlete’s face shape are attached, enabling a secure fit during lateral movement.

Nike was a global winner at the 2015-2016 World Branding Awards as well as at the 2014-2015 installation under the Sports Retail category.
