Sung Chang exits his ECD position at Akqa to assume the new role, bringing with him 18 years in advertising, digital, and design

Former Executive Creative Director at Akqa, Sung Chang (pictured), has been appointed to the leadership role of Chief Creative Officer for MRM//McCann, East. With 18 years of advertising and design experience under his belt, he has throughout his career helped build creative, new practices, departments, brands, and agencies.

In addition to his digital expertise across platform, mobile, social, and UX, his past work has includes the development of television and print campaigns as well as new product design and innovations. Prior to Akqa, he was Senior Vice President and ECD at Ogilvy & Mather.

At the aforementioned agency, the numerous accounts serviced include Nestle, Motorola, American Express, Castrol, BP, Cisco, SAP, DuPont, Yahoo! and Metlife. Chang began his career pioneering interactive TV at NBC Television and also has built mobile apps, payment systems, interfaces, and experiential installations.

Clients served under the above categories are such as Sony, Nike, Kraft, and Time Warner. Similarly, he has taught at Columbia University and the Miami Ad School and currently lectures at the School of Visual Arts.
