To showcase the release of its new 24-piece watch collection, Moritz Grossmann has created an interactive advent for its holiday auction.

Moritz Grossmann will release twenty-four limited-edtion timepieces to mark its tenth anniversary. Retailing at Christie’s, it is the first time the latter is offering such a sizeable capsule collection of unique pieces. The watch brand has created an interactive advent calendar to showcase the range.

The online effort allows visitors to view each timepiece in detail before being directed to the Christie’s website, where they can place a bid. In celebration of New York, the home of Christie’s, the collection will be brought to life via the interactive windows of the Rockefeller Centre for dramatic effect.

Set against a snow-kissed backdrop with a picturesque Christmas tree, the auction aims to delight collectors seeking hand-finished elegance. The new line aims to embody the marque’s slogan: Schönstes deutsches Handwerk— which means “the most beautiful of German craftsmanship.”

Christine Hutter in 2008 founded Grossmann Uhren under the name of the eminent watchmaker of Glashütte, Moritz Grossmann. This ensured that the legacy of the renowned pioneer was revived after some 130 years.

The winter holiday sale is slated to run from today through 10 December.
