The exclusive fall push with Macy’s has launched a corresponding Snaps-designed emoji keyboard inspired by campaign star, Iris Apfel.

I.N.C International Concepts, exclusively at Macy’s, has unveiled its fall 2016 push, Iris Meets I.N.C, and launched a corresponding Snaps-designed emoji keyboard inspired by campaign star, Iris Apfel. It includes emojis, stickers, and GIFs featuring Apfel and her signature quotes.

The platform will also showcase items from the brand’s aforementioned collection. The emojis incorporate lifestyle categories such as beauty, food and beverage, and an assortment of birthday-themed graphics in celebration of the icon’s upcoming 95th birthday on 29 August 2016.

The advertising campaign shot by Ben Watts, features Apfel and model, Linda Vojtova, wearing five looks from the collection. Also, I.N.C has teamed up with Apfel to develop a range of approximately 40 must-have clothing and jewellery pieces that play into autumn’s ‘mod’ trend revival.

She consulted with the brand’s design team and provided creative direction, with a focus on versatile wardrobe staples and a wide assortment of her signature bangles. The emojis will appear throughout all elements of the campaign, including product hangtags, digital, and direct mail.

The emojis are now available for free download on iOS and Android through the Apple App and Google Play stores. The Iris Meets I.N.C collection is slated to debut exclusively at Macy’s stores the retailer’s official website in early September 2016.

“This is Macy’s first foray into emojis. Iris is an icon whose appeal spans multiple generations, and we see these emojis as a fun way to amplify the campaign through mobile first. Her fans are going to go crazy,” said Nancy Slavin, SVP of Marketing for Macy’s Merchandising Group.
