The hospitality mammoth partners with Latam Hotels to roll out Honduras’ first Hyatt Place Tegucigalpa property

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Latam Hotels Corp have launched Hyatt Place Tegucigalpa in Honduras, the first Hyatt Place property to penetrate the said Central American city. The premiere is marked by the brand’s intuitive design, casual atmosphere, and practical amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi and 24-hour food offerings.

“The brand was designed from the insight of our guests’ appreciation for approachable style, where design and quality are delivered in a very simple and affordable fashion, offering a seamless travel experience for guests. As the Hyatt portfolio of brands continues to enter new markets throughout the region, we are delighted that the opening of Hyatt Place Tegucigalpa marks the first Hyatt branded hotel in Honduras,” said Steven Dominguez, VP of Global Brands, Hyatt Place and Hyatt House.

Hyatt Place Tegucigalpa is the first of five Hyatt Place hotels that are set to open in Central America over the next three years under the relationship with the hotel owners, Latam Hotels. Upcoming hotel openings include locations in Managua, Nicaragua; Guatemala City, Guatemala; San Salvador, El Salvador; and a second location in Honduras’ San Pedro Sula.

Located in the financial centre of the city at Paseo Los Proceres, the new 126-room resort is central to all of Tegucigalpa’s main attractions. The neighborhood is home to exclusive gated residential communities, the Novacentro shopping mall, and Embassy of the United States, among others.

The venue is less than five miles from Toncontin International Airport and is part of Hyatt’s loyalty programme, Hyatt Gold Passport. Guests can earn Hyatt Gold Passport points and redeem free night awards without blackout dates at more than 600 global Hyatt locations.
