Following the success of the Huawei P9, the Mate 9 series features the second generation dual-lens camera co-engineered with Leica.

Huawei has unveiled the Mate 9 and Porsche Design Mate 9. Building on its smartphone success, the latest additions to the Mate series expect to afford a re-imagined Android experience. The devices feature the Kirin 960 for faster computing, SuperCharge technology, and a new UX.

The Kirin 960 is the first to feature an ARM Cortex-A73/A53 Octa-core CPU and Mali G71 Octa-core GPU. The CPU delivers improves multi-core performance and reduces power consumption by 15 percent. The GPU boasts a performance uplift of 180 percent and heightened energy efficiency.

Meanwhile, following the success of the Huawei P9, the Mate 9 features the second generation dual-lens camera co-engineered with Leica. Both brands continue to improve and enhance the optical performance of the camera module across mobile devices to better quality pictures and bolder colours.

The Porsche Design is a limited edition smartphone combining its signature brand aesthetic with the tech giant’s engineering expertise. Together, Huawei and Porsche Design have achieved a new pinnacle where the latter’s unique designs meet the former’s market-leading smart technology.
