Henry Cavill and Scarlett Johansson are the faces of the Huawei P9 campaign and will lead a new spot airing in the UK this month.

Huawei has launched the P9 into the United Kingdom, with the mobile device now available for purchase in said markets across all major channels including Vodafone, EE, Three, O2, and Carphone Warehouse. The model is recognised for the collaboration with Leica for its camera.

Television icons, Henry Cavill and Scarlett Johansson, are set to feature as the faces of the campaign and take the lead in a new commercial shot in Shanghai and New Zealand by famed director, Baillie Walsh. The spot will air in the United Kingdom later this month.

The video shows the pair putting the product’s camera technology to the test by competing for the best shot. Setting a new benchmark, the dual-lens camera is touted for its ability to capture light and clarity, resulting in brilliant colour and striking black and white images.

“With the P9, we are looking to firmly establish the Huawei brand within the high-end, premium sector in the UK. We have challenged the norm with this device, reinventing smartphone photography, and we see it as the next step in a visual revolution,” said James Jie, Managing Director of UK&I at Huawei.
