Hill+Knowlton has secured an 18-month international communications remit for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Public relations group, Hill+Knowlton, has been awarded an 18-month international communications remit for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, following a competitive pitch. The signing took place on 3 November 2016 at the headquarters of the organising committee.
To be led out of Asia-Pacific by Lorna Campbell, Regional Director Sports Marketing and Sponsorship, the firm will activate a media and content communications campaign promoting the games worldwide. Said team will also provide strategic counsel on crisis and issues preparation and response.
The 18-month public relations project will commence immediately. The aforementioned Hill+Knowlton win adds another string to its Olympic bow, having previously handled communications for the organising committees of the Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010, and London 2012 games.
“PyeongChang will be the first Games to benefit from the new Olympic Channel, which is incredibly exciting as we navigate through the key milestones on the run up to the Games in February 2018,” said Andy Sutherden, Global Head of Sports Marketing and Sponsorship at Hill+Knowlton.
