Foot Locker has released the latest spot from its February Brings the Best campaign. Titled Stats, the ad stars NBA’s Russell Westbrook.

Foot Locker, the New York based specialty athletic retailer, has launched its February Brings the Best campaign with Stats, the brand’s newest spot starring NBA point guard, Russell Westbrook. The push spotlights the latest releases set to hit stores, including the featured Air Jordan XXXI.

In the commercial, Westbrook bumps into a fan while wearing Jordan gear. After sharing that his fresh gear is from Foot Locker, he is complimented on his impressive streak of triple-doubles on the court. He then tells the fan it’s really all about getting wins, but goes on to rattle off his unique stats.

The basketball star takes it too far when he names himself ‘the all-time greatest Russell in league history’. Hall of Famer, Bill Russell, makes a cameo and peering over his newspaper, he reminds Westbrook that he’s the greatest Russell. The short film was developed by worldwide agency, BBDO.

The advertisement launches digitally on 7 February, and will make its broadcast debut on 9 February via TNT. The creative push will continue through NBA All-Star with spots across State Farm All-Star Saturday Night and the sixty-sixth NBA All-Star Game on Sunday, 19 February 2017.

The promotion is set to feature the best footwear, apparel, and accessories, with a special Black History Month as well as All-Star Game packs from Jordan Brand, Nike, adidas, and Puma among others.

“February truly does bring the best from us, and who better to celebrate that with than one of the brightest stars in the NBA. As Russell continues to be a leader on the court, we knew he was the perfect addition to help us launch this year’s campaign,” said Stacy Cunningham, VP of Marketing at Foot Locker.
