Febreze teams up with Jordin Sparks to encourage fitness enthusiasts to keep workout odours where they belong—at the gym.

Febreze has launched a campaign to promote the importance of keeping fitness gear clean and odour-free after a workout. Themed #FebrezeYourGear, it stars Jordin Sparks and is based on an activity index focused on the top twenty metropolitan areas in the country.

Among the cities with the highest activity levels are San Francisco, Minneapolis, Denver, Miami, Los Angeles, New York, and Seattle. Concentrated on these areas, the exercise aims to help busy Americans take the stink out of sweat sessions before exiting the locker room.

For the millions who are time-pressed, Febreze has stepped in with a quick and easy solution, and is using the musician as its spokesperson to convey the message. A fitness buff, she is the ideal influencer to steer the conversation around post-workout freshness.

As part of her campaign involvement, Sparks recently hosted a class in partnership with the brand at a New York City fitness studio. Attendees received tips. The musician revealed to them her personal gym bag essentials, a kit that includes the Febreze Fabric Refresher.

Further engagement has been planned for audiences in Denver, Minneapolis, and Atlanta—and will see delivery today. Fans can add to the dialogue via the official campaign hashtag. The product is sold at major retailers across the United States, with further details online.

“We are pumped about getting our Fabric Refresher into the hands of gym-goers in some of the most active cities, but no matter where they are located, we have them covered,” said Martin Hettich, VP of Home Care North America and Brand Franchise Leader of Global Air Care under Procter & Gamble.
