The latest Bauer Hockey push stars Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks and Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Global equipment manufacturer, Bauer Hockey, has rolled out Aim for Greatness, a global advertising campaign for the Bauer Nexus 1N stick. The creative push stars Chicago Blackhawks captain, Jonathan Toews, alongside Toronto Maple Leafs rookie, Auston Matthews.

The key element of the effort is a video featuring the athletes in an on-ice battle filmed during a Toronto event held by the brand over summer. The players take turns aiming shots at various pieces of equipment on set to include items like cameras, lights, and a food table.

“There are no camera tricks involved, so the skill demonstrated by both players is impressive, but the interaction between Jonathan and Auston is what makes the video a must-see for hockey players and fans,” said Mary Kay Messier, Vice President of Marketing of Bauer Hockey.

Other elements of the global initiative span extensive digital media, print advertising, and in-store marketing. The Bauer Hockey product being marketed is the marque’s top stick in the National Hockey League.
