Sustainability-focused lifestyle brand, Outerknown, has debuted its first women’s collection which features seventeen fashion-forward pieces.
Outerknown, the lifestyle brand built on sustainability, has stepped into spring with the premiere of its first women’s fashion collection. Designed for changemakers who lead with intelligence, the line features seventeen styles made up of tops, dresses, and bottoms across various colourways.
The pieces are meant to work together to deliver a wardrobe comprising effortless everyday essentials that come with a clear conscience. The assortment is made entirely from benefit fibres to include organic, recycled, and regenerated materials, with every pick offered at an affordable price.
Created using organic cotton, key choices are such as the Canyon Dress, Bee Shirt, Sunrose Top, and Pacific Kimono. The above selection was produced in collaboration with Piece & Co, a socially responsible organisation that empowers working women globally through textile manufacturing.
The campaign around the Outerknown launch features Trash is for Tossers blogger, Lauren Singer; Female Collective founder, Candace Reels; and model and founder of Chasseresse, Raychel Roberts. All three women are also activists. The apparel label was started by pro surfer, Kelly Slater.
Together with co-founder and creative director, John Moore, Outerknown was set up as a brand that would disrupt the fashion landscape by creating a true connection between sustainability and style. The company has succeeded in driving affinity amongst lifestyle and menswear markets.
“We started the company to prove we could make great clothes using fair labour practices and materials that are not harmful to the environment. Our growing brand shows us many want to make conscious choices about their clothes, and not harm people or the planet for fashion,” said Slater.
