UNIQLO has partnered with The Nature Conservancy (TNC), a global nonprofit organisation dedicated to a thriving coexistence of people and nature.
To support environmental preservation, UNIQLO in the U.S. contributes $150,000 to The Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees program. This contribution will help restore forests, combat biodiversity loss, and address climate change for the well-being of future generations.
Commenting on this collaboration, Jean Shein, UNIQLO Global Director of Sustainability, said, “We’re very proud to support The Nature Conservancy in their critical work around reforestation,”.

Throughout this year, UNIQLO’s support will contribute to planting 100,000 trees in crucial U.S. forests, including regions like The Upper Great Lakes (MI, MN, WI), Central Appalachia (W.V.), The North Woods (MI, MN, WI), Longleaf Pine Forests (V.A., NC, FL, LA), Mississippi Delta (M.S.), and Shortleaf Pine Forests (A.R.).
Through the Plant a Billion Trees program, The Nature Conservancy aims to mitigate the challenges posed by climate change and the loss of biodiversity worldwide.
Planting new trees serves multiple crucial purposes, such as enhancing biodiversity, purifying fresh water, absorbing and storing carbon from the atmosphere, and contributing to developing healthier ecosystems. This, in turn, results in improved protection against extreme weather events.
