SheaMoisture, a beauty and personal care company, has introduced its first-ever deodorant line designed specifically for rich melanin skin and certified by Black dermatologists and gynaecologists.
In addition, this new collection of antiperspirant underarm and whole-body deodorant has been designed to meet the needs of rich melanin skin. Additionally, it offers superior sweat and odour protection for the entire day and an all-over freshness and even out underarm discoloration, replenishing moisture, and soothing and smoothing sensitive skin areas.
Dawn Williams-Thompson, Unilever’s head of NA personal care design for retail and local brand development, said that SheaMoisture was one of the first brands to launch innovative products crafted with culturally authentic natural ingredients to care for textured hair.

The collection includes eight products, including six distinct Black dermatologist-approved stick deodorants for long-lasting antiperspirant underarm protection and skin solutions. Each stick provides up to 70% moisture replenishment to dry skin with invisible application.
SheaMoisture Antiperspirant Stick Deodorants:
Even Tone: Contains vitamin C and niacinamide to help visibly even skin tone with daily use.
Moisturizing: Made with raw shea butter and hyaluronic acid, it provides all-day hydration.
Smoothing: Contains manuka honey and retinol to help smooth rough, dry, and bumpy skin.
Fresh: Made with coconut and hibiscus, it offers all-day freshness and care.
Sensitive: Made with aloe vera and ceramides and a dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic fragrance.
Soothing: Post-shave lotion formulated with vitamin E and kukui nut oil to actively soothe and calm post-shave skin.

Whole Body Deo Cream: Made with coconut and hibiscus, with a quick-drying, smooth application.
Whole Body Invisible Stick: Made from coconut and hibiscus, with an anti-friction, smooth glide stick.
There are also two Black dermatologist and gynaecologist-approved options for total body protection. The plant-based formulation contains no aluminium, baking soda, or talc and provides all-day, all-over odour control, invisible application, and SheaMoisture’s signature coconut and hibiscus scent.
