FitFlop, a UK-based ergonomic and wellness footwear business, is expanding internationally in key strategic regions with the inauguration of its largest retail location in the Middle East.

The FitFlop store in Abu Dhabi is the newest addition to the brand’s upgraded global retail platform, which includes 145 standalone FitFlop locations worldwide.

The 2,142 square foot shop at The Galleria, opened in collaboration with Source Rite, showcases the brand’s all-new retail design concept. FitFlop’s iconic technology wall emphasising the brand’s four leading FitFlop technologies: iQushion, Anatomicush, Microwobbleboard, and Neodynamic.

In an interview with Fashion United, Chief Commercial Officer of FitFlop, David Schüttenkopf, shared, Already with significant momentum, our partnership with Source Rite continues to gather pace, and we are excited to announce the opening of our 9th store in the region, with an additional store planned for the territory in early 2024.”

This new Abu Dhabi concept store is a true flagship store. As FitFlop’s largest retail store in the Middle East to date, it drives FitFlop’s commitment and dedication to offering an upgraded and enriched brand experience in physical retail settings. Apart from that, it also helps the brand to reach new consumers in our key strategic markets,” he added. 

Source Rite’s managing directors and partners, Ranjeec Kimatrai and Carl Peaple, added, ‘We continue to see demand for FitFlop products, especially the men’s collection, which has been widely accepted, including the UAE Royal Family.”

FitFlop Opens New Store in Malaysia, Expanding Its Global Presence

Prior to the Abu Dhabi store opening, FitFlop unveiled its new store in the prestigious Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) shopping centre in Kuala Lumpur with retail partner Vintage Sports Pte Ltd, in the course to ‘inspire and educate consumers on the profound benefits of its footwear.’

FitFlop’s new store in Kuala Lumpur is a key milestone for the business, providing customers with an immersive opportunity to experience the brand’s innovation and excellence first-hand. As FitFlop expands and establishes its position in the wellness market, the significance of first-hand experience with its goods remains important.

An interactive moving screen displayed each technology’s distinct characteristics and benefits, providing clients an immersive and informative experience. FitFlop’s long-term goal is to build additional owned stores to allow their consumers to touch, feel, and try on their products.
