Skechers has signed on former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo, for a global campaign around its men’s footwear collection.

Skechers has expanded its talent roster of athletes in the United States with the addition of retired Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo. He has been engaged to showcase the lifestyle brand’s footwear in a global marketing campaign scheduled to run later in the year.

He joins a line-up which currently includes baseball slugger, David Ortiz; boxer, Sugar Ray Leonard; as well as the football stars, Joe Montana and Howie Long. The group has been using sports icons for advertising efforts around its men’s collection for 15 years now.

The range of Skechers footwear for men has grown in recent years to include a wide array of casual and sport styles, alongside innovations like its Air-Cooled Memory Foam. The designs are available at its US retail and department stores and via retailers worldwide.

“Not only was he great on the field, but Tony is a media superstar as well. We know as his fans follow him to the broadcast side, his reach will help convey how our footwear delivers on style and comfort for men everywhere,” said Michael Greenberg, President of Skechers.
