The X-Men spot has launched via television and web, and depicts a storm brewing at the X-Mansion with M&M’s seated at the heart of it.
Mars Chocolate has unveiled a commercial for M&M’s featuring America’s favourite characters from both brands. Newly launched, the short film’s timely release serves an ideal prelude to the 20th Century Fox’s motion picture, X-Men: Apocalypse, which premieres on 27 May 2016.
Titled Rainy Day, the spot has kicked off online and via television. The plot depicts a storm brewing at the X-Mansion with M&M’s seated at the heart of it. Red and Yellow find themselves at the mercy of two X-Men mutants who share a weakness: candy-coated chocolate.
Meanwhile, a full-page print advertisement has rolled out across the commercial space, and captures the common struggle felt between the M&M’s and X-Men characters. The aim of said creative supports the objective to generate excitement for the upcoming movie release.
The marque is also introducing X-Men-themed bottles featuring eight character images inspired by M&M’s this week. The merchandise will be available in early several retail giants including May at Walmart, Kroger, CVS, and movie theatres throughout the United States.
