Displaying the true power of British fashion, Mulberry and Paul Smith have teamed up to release an exclusive handbag collection. Named Antony after the classic Mulberry Antony messenger bag, the 10-bag collection will officially launch on the 4th of September.
The Mulberry x Paul Smith Antony Collection made its first preview at the A/W23 Paris Men’s Fashion Week. Altogether, the capsule collection combines the two brands’ signature styles: Paul Smith’s affection for stripes and colour and Mulberry’s quintessential product.
The Antony collection features eye-catching colours and designs in a Mulberry classic silhouette. Two new Antony models have been introduced too – a miniature crossbody bag called the Antony Clip and the Antony Tote.
Meticulously crafted and designed, both brands are committed to sustainability, as highlighted in Mulberry’s ‘Made to Last’ and Paul Smith’s ‘Path to Sustainability’ practices. Manufactured in Mulberry’s carbon-neutral factories, the exclusive Antony handbags are made from carbon-neutral leather.
Besides that, the partnership pays tribute to their heritage styles and empowers fellow British creatives. Mulberry and Paul Smith share similar backgrounds, from origin stories to unsurpassed creativity and artistic flair. A little less than a year after the first Paul Smith shop opened in Nottingham, Mulberry was founded in Somerset.
As the two brands explored styles and innovation, their closeness in age allowed both to grow at the same time. According to Smith, “I think that’s at least partly why we share such a similar approach to creativity and craft – that and our Britishness.”
