Malaysian low-cost airline airasia has recently announced the rebranding of its digital arm, pivoting from airasia Digital to MOVE Digital. According to an official statement, the rebrand symbolises a new chapter for the growth of the airasia Superapp and BigPay.

airasia Superapp, MOVE’s travel platform business, will be renamed to ‘airasia move’ as part of the revamp. The travel and lifestyle mega app empowers consumers to purchase flight tickets, hotel stays, food, transportation, and shop online.

Tony Fernandes, the highly-acclaimed Co-Founder of AirAsia and CEO of Capital A, shared, “The name MOVE signifies us better as the digital arm of Capital A, and reiterates our commitment to move people, ideas and innovation forward within the travel space.”

Moreover, the rebrand will see the introduction of one platform for all travel and financial services. Putting convenience and technology together, it will feature integrated financial features like balance displays and BigPay transaction records, whilst strengthening the company’s value proposition as the leading choice of travel app.
