WPP is creating a more flexible offering for its healthcare clients in the United States by merging existing networks into major agency brands.
WPP is reshaping its healthcare remit by integrating the agency’s specialist health networks into major brands in the United States. Sudler merges with VMLY&R to form VMLY&R Health and Ogilvy CommonHealth joins Ogilvy to create Ogilvy Health. Ghg and Wunderman merge as Wunderman Health.
Grey and J. Walter Thompson will both continue with their existing offers. Scheduled to be completed in mid-2009, the overall approach marries deep expertise with creative technology and data firepower. As a collective, it underlines the group’s commitment to helping clients grow their business and evolve.
WPP Health & Wellness will be retired. Current CEO, Mike Hudnall, will lead a new practice that better mobilises the company’s capabilities. He reports to Mark Read (pictured), CEO of WPP.
“Health is an important and expanding sector for us. Our new healthcare offering is another step in our evolution as we integrate the full power of our company for clients,” said Read.
