Global communications services group, WPP, has launched its Government & Public Sector practice in Singapore. Led by Executive Director, Cecilia Wong, the platform helps governments worldwide achieve their public missions by understanding their citizens, engaging, and communicating effectively.
Working with more than 60 governments and across 112 countries, said practice currently has hubs for the United Kingdom, EU Institutions, Australia New Zealand, Middle East and North Africa, as well as and sub-Saharan Africa, with plans to launch in India and Washington DC later in 2016.
In Singapore, the Practice will afford government clients access to global best practice and the best of WPP agencies’ thinking on behaviour change programmes, digital government transformation, destination marketing, public sector recruitment, citizen engagement, and capability building.
The market’s clients include the Health Promotion Board, Singapore Tourism Board, Central Provident Fund, Infocomm Development Authority, National Library Board, Ministry of Communications and Information, National Gallery Singapore, and the Tripartite Alliance for Fair & Progressive Employment Practices.
Additionally, the practice partners with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy to develop communications capability in government. Furthering its functions, the collaboration entails the provision of a four-day Executive Education programme on Communication for Public Policy Delivery.
