Vision Direct has released its first summer push, an initiative which continues the story of Gizmo, the star of the brand’s Christmas campaign. For the new marketing effort by the eye care specialist, the cuddly canine is captured exploring sunny Malaga for a family holiday.

In conjunction with the exercise, the UK-based company worked closely with the video production team at Tanami to release the aforementioned campaign. The spot celebrates the return of the furry favourite, where he is seen jet-setting across Europe for a summer adventure of fun.

The short is designed to show just how easy it can be to get the contact lenses you need while you are away from home. Fall in love with our fast European delivery was chosen as the advertisement’s tagline to showcase the company’s speedy service to addresses across Europe.

The full-length commercial is available online via YouTube, Facebook, and the Vision Direct website. It will be promoted across the company’s social media platforms, including Twitter, along with a 30-second version which features across the digital space over the next few months.

“In a recent survey, we found that 35% of our customers didn’t know they had the option to order lenses whilst they were away. We wanted to remind everyone just how easy it can be to get the lenses you need, even when you’re far from home,” said Ashley Mealor, Chief Marketing Officer at Vision Direct.
