A celebrated collaboration, the brand will continue to develop sportswear which actively incorporates the player’s ideas and needs

Japanese retail giant, Uniqlo has renewed its contract with global brand ambassador Kei Nishikori, a leading men’s singles tennis player in Asia. Working collaboratively, it will continue to develop sportswear which actively incorporates the player’s ideas and needs.

The two have established a positive relationship since the athlete was first signed on for the same role during the start of the 2011 season. Aspiring to be the world’s best, Nishikori continues to excel. The marque shares in the dream and aims to become the top global casual wear name, hence the renewal.

Meanwhile, it will continue to develop high-function wear for the sportsman so he delivers at optimal performance. In exchange, he will wear the latest from Uniqlo when he competes in the Australian Open Tennis Championships in Melbourne from 18-31 January 2016.

“Since he first became our global brand ambassador, I have been impressed at how he has continued to evolve as a player. His astounding advancement over the last few years has encouraged people in Japan and worldwide,” said Tadashi Yanai, Chairman, President, and CEO of Fast Retailing.
