Furthering its Proudly American footprint, SKYY Vodka has partnered with John Cena for a new creative extension dubbed The Pledge.
Premium vodka brand, SKYY, has introduced actor and humanitarian, John Cena, as the newest face of its Proudly American push. Featuring a fresh digital video starring the WWE personality, the short film, titled The Pledge, champions the strength of the American spirit.
The marque’s most recent campaign partner, he joins a cast of celebrity influencers. Said line-up includes Olympian, Gus Kenworthy; writer and cultural curator, Kimberly Drew; and two stars from television series, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Trixie Mattel and Dusty Ray Bottoms.
Cena delivers a light-hearted take on the nation’s traditional pledge. Pairing smart humour with cinematic style, J.J. Adler, captures his winning personality and own version of the American dream. The spot is set to the music of Jai Wolf, a Bangladeshi-American artiste.
Reflecting its San Francisco heritage and the values of SKYY, the effort uses vivid imagery and epitomises the message of diversity in grand fashion. Additional components include out-of-home, digital, social media, and public relations executions, with event activations.
“John Cena exemplifies our Proudly American persona with his incredible spirit, work ethic, charisma, and dedication to inspiring others. He uses his worldwide platform to encourage inclusiveness and positivity,” said Melanie Batchelor, VP of Marketing at Campari America.
