South Bank hotel, Mondrian London, has announced a rebrand. Called Sea Containers London, the property is now managed by Lore Group.

South Bank hotel, Mondrian London is being renamed Sea Containers London, paying homage to the history of the iconic building in which the property sits. Managed under the Lore Group portfolio, the venue’s new name marks its freshly attained independent status.

Sea Containers London will continue to house riverside eatery, Sea Containers Restaurant, and award-winning bar, Dandelyan from Ryan Chetiyawardana. The place also has a rooftop one, 12th Knot, which features an outdoor terrace noted for its views of the River Thames.

The spa, agua, and Curzon cinema within the property will operate as normal. Apart from several updates, its original Tom Dixon design will remain mostly unchanged. New uniforms for staff celebrate the golden age of transatlantic travel and street style of the South Bank.

Sea Containers London will sport a fresh visual identity and branding in honour of its next chapter. Its use of classic imagery boasts illustrations of the pop art variety. The selection is meant to capture the nautical essence of the structure steeped in heritage and character.

“We are excited about this next step in the hotel’s story. Our team will continue to offer our guests an unrivalled experience at Sea Containers London. We have lots of initiatives in the pipeline and look forward to welcoming all,” said Billy Skelli-Cohen, CEO of Lore Group.
