Samsung will deliver 12,500 Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition units to all 2016 Olympians—to enhance their Rio experience.

Samsung, the worldwide Olympic partner under the Wireless Communications Equipment category, moved to unveil its Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition model at the recent Team USA Road to Rio event in Chicago, in celebration of the upcoming games.

In collaboration with the International Olympic Committee, the electronics giant will deliver 12,500 units of said variant to all Rio 2016 Olympians—to help each one enhance their experiences in the city while communicating with family and friends worldwide conveniently.

The brand is also offering fans and consumers a chance to commemorate the Rio 2016 Olympic Games by making a limited number of Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition phones available in the United States from 18 July 2016—exclusively at Best Buy.

The device incorporates an Olympic Games design to feature a custom colourway pattern which includes the five colours of the Olympic Rings. The same hues will be prominent across the phone’s user interface in the home and lock screens as well as the message, dial and contact screens, and notification bar.

Pre-loaded themed wallpapers and apps will also be available. In addition to providing Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition the Team USA, Samsung is expected to also supply a Paralympic Galaxy S7 edge edition for the 2016 U.S. Paralympic Team.

Samsung is a winner at the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 World Branding Awards.
