Jennifer Risi will global strategic media relations and assumes leadership of all communications for the Ogilvy PR brand globally.
Ogilvy PR has promoted Jennifer Risi (pictured) to Global Chief Communications Officer. She remains Head of Media Relations, and will continue leading the Ogilvy Media Influence network while driving earned media campaigns across Ogilvy, North America.
Risi is to helm global strategic media relations and work across the North American group to establish new working models, create IP, and promote earned media strategy for clients. She also assumes leadership of all communications for the public relations brand globally.
In her expanded communications role, she reports to the agency’s Global CEO, Stuart Smith, and will work closely with leaders such as Lauren Crampsie, Global CMO at Ogilvy & Mather as well as Mark Himmelsbach, President, Content & Social for Ogilvy North America.
The new global chief joined the firm in 2011, and has for the past five years, grown the business’s media relations capabilities, establishing a global community of media relations experts. Her expertise surrounds nation branding, CEO positioning, and corporate reputation.
