New Balance Canada debuts its inaugural Stride I.D. Experience Lab alongside Sport Chek today at its flagship store in Sherway Gardens.

New Balance has introduced a new way to fit athletes with the debut of its Stride I.D. Experience Lab in Canada. Featuring 3D scan technology, the innovative platform by Sweden’s Volumental, scans an athlete’s feet to generate an advanced fit analysis and recommendation.

Taking only a few seconds, the system outputs a three-dimensional assessment and key measurements to provide a proper fit recommendation. The solution comprises advanced software that generates dimensions and endorsements based on specific images captured of the feet.

To further the offering, the aforementioned lab provides additional technology platforms allowing retail associates to track gait. Combined, said technologies allow for athletes to locate the ideal pair of shoes based on size and style to help them to perform at their optimum level.

The sporting goods retailer, in association with Sport Chek, will introduce its inaugural Stride I.D. Experience Lab in the aforementioned North American market in conjunction with the marque’s flagship Store in Sherway Gardens which is scheduled to premiere this week.

“New Balance has 110 years of innovation history and the Stride ID Experience allows us to more effectively put athletes in the right shoes to help them achieve peak performance,” said Jon Ram, Executive Vice President, North America at New Balance Athletics.
