The additions are former France Telecom communications lead, David Taylor, and consumer technology PR specialist, Gary Wilson
International public relations firm, Kwittken, under MDC Partners, has expanded its senior management team in London with the appointment of former Head of Communications at Orange-France Telecom Europe, David Taylor, as well as consumer technology public relations specialist, Gary Wilson.
The new hires underline the agency’s commitment to broadening its offer for clients in the United Kingdom and Western Europe. The pair represents the latest in a number of significant additions to the London office since Sam Bowen (pictured) joined as MD in 2014.
Taylor brings to the role a 20-year corporate communications track record and a specialisation deeply rooted in technology and telecoms. Throughout his prolific career, he has led accounts such as BT, France Telecom, and Vayant, a world leader in airfare search innovation.
In his current capacity as Director of Content, he has been charged with heading the network’s content arm, Agenda. He will build on its strengths in editorial content and help develop new and existing commercial partnerships, whilst broadening the agency’s creative offer in visual communications for London.
Meanwhile, Wilson joins from a boutique technology outfit called TinDrum, where he served as Associate Director. His Kwittken commission entails key tasks such as leading and further shaping the agency’s consumer technology arm. Like Taylor, he will be stationed at the Kings Cross branch.
A natural communicator with strong commercial acumen, his tech-based expertise for both consumer and B2B clients spans two decades. His portfolio includes blue-chip brands like Fujitsu-Siemens, Intel, and Philips, as well as younger start-ups such as Morphy, El Gatto, and Atomic Floyd.
“We’re thrilled to have David and Gary join us to add further weight to our senior team and help maximise the opportunities which are presenting themselves. I have no doubt that we have the right team and determined mindset in London to continue into the next phase of our growth,” said Sam Bowen, Managing Director at Kwittken London.
