Cognac brand, Hennessy, has launched a four-part series titled We Are to celebrate the African American community in the United States.

Hennessy is commemorating Black History Month with the release of We Are, a four-part series meant to empower the next generation with stories behind today’s trailblazers. The platform continues its more than 250-year tradition of celebrating extraordinary individuals.

The first video, We Are Creators, features fashion designer, Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss; hip-hop artiste, A$AP Ferg; deejay, TJ Mizell; and vintage designer, Sami Miro. It offers a candid conversation about the importance of art as expression. The others are:

  • We Are Proud
  • We Are Disruptors
  • We Are Ambitious

Hennessy has a long history of supporting the African American community, dating back to the late 1800s. William Jay Schieffelin, responsible for the brand’s stateside marketing, at the turn of the century, pushed it into uncharted territory with a formal partnership with a highly-regarded black college and university.
