Gymshark’s CCO, Niran Chana, has left the sportswear giant after eight years to pursue “different ambitions”.

In 2015, Chana first joined Gymshark London as a customer service manager. Then, in 2019, he was designated CCO, responsible for global sales, planning, marketing, merchandising, and retail.

Moreover, in the company’s management team, he held positions in digital marketing, wholesale, and overseeing customer experience.

Before Gymshark, Chana worked at Sports HQ Group for over two years.

On LinkedIn, in a post, Gymshark said: “We don’t usually do public goodbyes, but sometimes it’s the right thing to do”.

“Looking at the incredible journey we’ve been on since 2012, Niran has played a huge part in the growth, development, and culture of the Gymshark UK brand you see before you today.”

The company added that Chana “leaves an indelible footprint, and his legacy will live on here as we strive to become the most iconic British brand of all time”.

Despite every hurdle, the Gymshark logo, by Ben Francis and Lewis Morgan, only grows in the sportswear industry with marvelous achievement. One such example is a recent advancement by opening its first store on London’s Regent Street

The departure came when Gymshark reported a 39% drop in pre-tax profits to £27.8 million in the year to July 31, 2022, down from £45.4 million the year before, despite sales rocketing by 21% to £484.5 million.

Moreover, the World’s Youngest billionaire, Francis, declared Gymshark’s long-term future is on the high street and in physical stores.

“When we step back and look at building a truly long-term brand, I think it’s omnichannel. There’s a big opportunity to step into the offline market in physical stores.” Francis said to Nick Ferrari on LBC.
