Grey Group has moved to acquire Canadian full-service healthcare and consumer agency, Tank, with Marc Lanouette seated at the helm.

Grey Group has acquired Tank, a full-service healthcare and consumer agency with offices in Montreal. Retaining its name, the brand will become part of the global marketing communications company’s Canadian extension, which already operates in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal.

Per the terms of the strategic takeover, Tank President, Marc Lanouette, will become CEO of Grey Group Canada. Founded in 2007, the firm’s 2016 net revenues totalled CAD$ 14 million (as of 30 April, 2016). The team employs 120 employees across its two offices based in said Quebec city.

The agency’s client roster includes accounts such as AbbVie, Pfizer, BMS, Eli Lilly, Lundbeck, Telus Health, Department of Canadian Heritage, and Caisse de depot. The firm was recognised with a Cannes Lion in Radio last year; its key management will continue to oversee the business.

“We are delighted to welcome Tank. This acquisition reinforces our commitment to expand our capabilities and critical mass in the Canadian market, especially in Quebec, and in the important healthcare sector,” said Michael Houston, Global President and CEO of Grey North America.
