The move enhances Grey’s ability to drive creative thinking leading to big platform ideas true to its Famously Effective mission
Global marketing communications shop, Grey Group, has acquired ArcTouch, an American based full-service mobile design and development recognised for creating best-in-class custom experiences across phones and tablets, wearables, television, homes, and cars.
“This acquisition represents another major step forward in Grey’s aggressive expansion of its digital capabilities. ArcTouch is renowned for its creativity and technological expertise in developing transformational mobile experiences which add value to brands,” said Michael Houston, CEO of Grey North America.
The new addition will be a free-standing unit of the communications network’s brand experience group to include Grey Activation, Grey PR, and Grey Shopper. ArcTouch, together with Grey San Francisco, brings the agency’s total West Coast team to nearly 150 employees, reporting to Houston (pictured).
ArcTouch’s revenues were $14 million as of 31 December 2015. The firm employs 97 people and is headquartered in San Francisco with an office in Florianopolis, Brazil. It was founded in 2008 by CEO Eric Shapiro and Chief Experience Officer, Adam Fingerman, both of whom will remain at the helm.
The team’s designers and developers transform ideas into app experiences for ‘connected things’ one holds in the hand, wear on the wrist, and use in the home and car. Clients include Fortune 500 companies, consumer brands, innovative start-ups, media and entertainment companies, and marketing and design agencies.
