Four Seasons has expanded its footprint into Kyoto and is now accepting reservations for the new property scheduled to open its doors to the public in the fall. The hotel is set in an 800-year-old traditional garden parked within Japan’s historic imperial capital.
The destination is situated at the foot of Higashiyama Mountain in the city’s temple district with numerous historic landmarks as its surroundings, while minutes away from the locale’s tech industries, creative arts, and leading educational institutions. The city attracts visitors from across the globe.
The location affords views of the neighbouring Kiyomizu-dera Temple and its own five-acre pond and gardens. Alongside 123 guestrooms and suites as well as 57 residences, its key features include a sushi restaurant, brasserie, lounge, teahouse, and spa adjacent to an indoor pool.
Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto is easily accessible through the Osaka-situated Kansai and Itami airports, while a quick 2.5-hour trip via bullet train from Tokyo. The iconic location is close to downtown—seven minutes from Kyoto station in the historic Higashiyama District.
Poised as a preferred address for weddings, social occasions, and business functions, the property’s event spaces include a chapel.
