The three newly launched branches are currently engaged in an aggressive external recruitment effort to hire local talent

Essence has formally established three new offices. The first is based in The Americas via Chicago, Illinois while the other two in Asia Pacific via Shanghai, China and Sydney, Australia. The locations are the first to be added to global digital agency’s map since WPP’s acquisition of the brand in November 2015.

The expansion is a result of increasing client demands following a slew of global new business wins, and is being supported by the reach and infrastructure of GroupM.  Each setup is being staffed by Essence veterans who have relocated from the New York, San Francisco, and London offices.

The individuals presently serving as regional leads include Chicago’s Eric Kirtcheff, Global Director of Advertising Operations; Sydney’s Anna Stoyanova, Asia Pacific Operations Director and Head of Media for Australia, and Shanghai’s Client Partner, Al Chen.

“This is an extremely transformative time for our agency. Our clients have more global needs than ever before.  We’re excited to plant our flag in these incredibly influential cities and continue scaling alongside our clients’ businesses,” said Christian Juhl (pictured), Global CEO of Essence.  “
